ECAS is founded in Bucharest as a design office: automation systems and printed circuit boards, drawn from scratch.

ECAS started in Bucharest in 1991, designing automation systems and circuit boards. We became a component distributor, then a manufacturing partner, and in 2012 we opened our own factory. This is how we got here.

From drawing boards to our own factory
Every step added something our clients needed next: design, then parts, then someone to build it for them, then building it ourselves.

LED advertising panels
In the same year we also make LED advertising panels, the first ECAS products you could see from the street.

A new road
We take a new direction and start distributing electronic components to engineers and factories in Romania.

The Phoenix Mecano group
We become a distributor for companies of the Phoenix Mecano group, the Swiss maker behind enclosure and component brands.

We start distributing Treston, the Finnish maker of ergonomic, ESD-safe workbenches built for electronics work.

A bigger home
The team has grown, so we move our headquarters to a larger building in Bucharest.

Beyond distribution
To add more value for our clients, we start offering electronic manufacturing services with trusted assembly partners.
EMS2012
Our first factory
We open our own EMS factory, with a manual line and semi-automatic machines. From now on, we build electronics ourselves.

Automated pick-and-place and reflow arrive on our floor, ready for higher volumes and finer parts.

We expand our SMT production, so prototypes and series production can run side by side.
